Pass It On Project is a bold new community initiative designed to empower members of underrepresented communities to share their cultural and creative talents.
Community Clay Newham’s vision is to create a vibrant platform where skills, traditions, and creativity are celebrated, exchanged, and passed on - building confidence, connection, and pride within the community.
They are recruiting a group of aspiring workshop facilitators eager to develop their creative practice and share their talents with wider audiences, including paying clients. Pass It On Project is part of ‘Roots to Shoots’, a development programme that seeks to evolve ideas that began as commissions for Culture Within Newham.
Participants will follow a structured programme of masterclasses covering:
Marketing and outreach,
Presentation techniques,
Session planning,
and budgeting.
This practical, hands-on training will end with and delivering your first curated workshop to a live audience. Community Clay Newham anticipate working with six trainees. Applications are open to individuals, pairs, and small groups.

£50 budget to deliver a mini tester workshop
£50 budget for materials and a £100 fee to devise, promote and deliver a two-hour community workshop
Three free bi-monthly zoom support sessions
We will apply for a DBS certificate for you if you don't have one
