Culture Within Newham’s Children’s Board chose BASSTONE PLAYGROUND by Linett Kamala as the family art installation for ‘The Music is Black Festival’!

You can:

  • Dance together at Linett’s light and sound artwork,

  • Enjoy a mix of dub, low-fi, and chilled music chosen by the artist, and

  • Hang out and play in a relaxing space.

What is ‘The Music is Black’ Festival?

The Music is Black Festival is a celebration of sound, culture, and community. BASSTONE PLAYGROUND will be available to visit during ‘The Music is Ours’ weekend (13 and 14 June 2026), which celebrates London's soundsystem legacy in the birthplace of grime.
