Our Culture, Our Art is a creative workshop exploring the stories, symbols and legacy of the Caribbean community through hands-on learning and artistic expression.
Participants begin with an engaging, interactive introduction to Caribbean migration history, using word search clues and gallery-style information sheets. They then create an artwork inspired by the words and history they uncovered, using mixed media such as drawing, painting and collage. The workshop closes with group sharing to deepen understanding, connection and pride.
This workshop is open to, and suitable for people of ALL backgrounds and ages
This workshop was developed as part of Pass It On Project by Ife Okwudili. Learn more about the project here.
