Bring the whole family along for a playful introduction to the art of origami! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn a series of beginner-friendly folds, explore the history and meaning behind this traditional paper craft, and discover which papers work best for different designs. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll create your own collection of colourful decorative pieces — and leave with a takeaway info sheet so you can keep practising your new skills at home. Perfect for families, beginners and curious makers of all ages!

Jaime Hoyos is a Peruvian origami artist and explorer. Hugely knowledgeable about the art and history of the craft, he's passionate about telling stories by folding paper.

This workshop was developed as part of Pass It On Project by Ife Okwudili. Learn more about the project here.
