Learn to design and lead your own creative workshop—plan, engage, inspire, and run sessions that truly connect!

The Pass It On Project is a bold new community initiative designed to empower members of underrepresented communities to share their cultural and creative talents. Our vision is to create a vibrant platform where skills, traditions, and creativity are celebrated, exchanged, and passed on -building confidence, connection, and pride within the community.

Making it safe, accessible, and sustainable.

This session focuses on the practical side of running workshops safely and confidently. We’ll cover essentials like risk assessments, DBS checks, accessibility, and insurance — plus branding, pricing, and promotion to help you present your offer professionally. You’ll leave with a clear checklist and the confidence to host your own creative sessions, supported by six months of mentoring to refine your approach and grow your workshops sustainably.

Duration: 2 hours

1 hour – Core Content & Group Discussion

45 mins – Guest Facilitator Mini Workshop + Reflection

15 mins – Homework & Q&A

Pass It On Project is an exciting new community initiative designed to celebrate creativity, culture, and connection in Newham and beyond. The project will support six trainee workshop facilitators/producers to develop their own workshop series, then deliver their workshops to the public.
