The Custom House Bookshop is hosting four events over the Easter Holidays in Central Park, East Ham. This project is supported by Culture Within Newham as part of our Micro-Commissions for Newham.
These will take place at 14:00 PM on;

About Art in the Park
Each session will start with. walk along the 'Central Part Tree Trail' looking at the twenty-four designate trees that form the Trail.
Participants will be encouraged to 'Read' the tree by noting the physical characteristics such as the shape and patterns of each tree, they will play a role in the artwork created later at a creative workshop at Central Park Cafe.
Each session will have a subject matter expert involved;
Dr Clare Woodward who has a PhD in Botany from Imperial College at the first session
Matt Ponting, a well-known local artist who has complete several commissions from Newham Council related to art and nature including the 'Greenway Pollinator Trail' and 'Hidden Characters' at East Ham Nature Reserve'
Vicki Evans, local artist who specialises in art, children and nature
Refreshments
As part of the arrangement for use of the premises, a healthy 'Snack Box' will be provided at the end of each session to the participants.
